Students take K体育’ s mantra “make a difference” to heart. With the successful campus-wide聽Philanthropy Week聽wrapped up, student organizations are continuing their own fundraising efforts throughout the year. Here’s just a sample:
, annually packs boxes for Operation Christmas Child using collected toys and gifts to donate to underprivileged children. This year STAT assembled and stuffed 48 boxes, with leftover donations too large to fit into boxes sent to local charities.
罢丑别听聽together with the 聽tutored young students at Parklane Elementary School during October Service Saturday. The CCE also gathered students to volunteer at the late last month.
Volunteering and philanthropy are a big part of Greek Life at K体育.聽held 鈥淐heesin鈥� for Children鈥� at the beginning of November, an event that sold numerous cheesy dishes to raise money for . This event raised over $550.
hosted its annual 鈥淏reakfAST Club,鈥� with a Halloween twist, to benefit . They raised over $443 by giving out pancakes, waffles, and other spooky breakfast favorites.
hosted its fall event 鈥淭he Chili Cook-Off鈥� for , raising $1200. This year, a chili-making contest entry fee and selling Make-a-Wish bracelets, as well as the usual chili-selling profits, helped to raise funds.

On the horizon, Alpha Sigma Tau is hosting a聽聽event in early December, collecting professional attire to help economically empower women in the workplace.
