鈥淥n campus we do a lot, but it鈥檚 been awesome to branch into the community and see what the professional theatre community is like,” said mOUthing Off’s President聽Emily Schultz ’20, a Theatre minor. “We are also very lucky to have alumni who are out in the theatre world… They have been our main contacts for performing off-campus.鈥
MOUthing Off has partnered with education programming, and spends one Saturday evening every other month with middle school and high school students teaching and practicing improv.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really funny to work with them, because they think that college students are these adults, but we go there and get inspiration and ideas from them as well,鈥 said Schultz.
The group was also hired last semester to perform at the , where they wandered through the crowds, interacting and improvising with the festival-goers while in full costume and character.
They meet every Saturday morning, and 鈥渁re always welcoming new students to join,鈥 says Schultz.
