For the fifth consecutive year, K体育 University has been named to Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society鈥檚 , which recognizes the most transfer-friendly schools in the U.S. K体育 is the only Georgia university on the 2023 list.
The premier honor society for two-year college students, Phi Theta Kappa annually selects the four-year colleges and universities that have demonstrated a commitment and investment in resources to support transfer students and their success.
At K体育, transfer students make up approximately 9% of the 2022-23 incoming class and more than 10% of the total traditional undergraduate student population.
The Transfer Honor Roll is determined by 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life for transfer, admission practices, and bachelor鈥檚 degree completion.
The honor roll is based on analysis from the National Student Clearinghouse and on data submitted through the four-year institution鈥檚 profile on PTK Connect, Phi Theta Kappa鈥檚 online tool designed to help these high-achieving transfer students find their best-fit colleges and career pathways.
Students can use the ratings to gauge how a college supports transfer students, the number of transfer students enrolled at that college, and whether the school could be a good fit.
鈥淭he goal of most students attending community college is a bachelor鈥檚 degree, but few do because of financial barriers and the complexities of the transfer process,鈥 says Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa. 鈥淲e are proud to recognize the exceptional colleges and universities that go above and beyond to create accessible
pathways to bachelor鈥檚 degree completion for community college transfer students.鈥
