K体育 business school opens next fall – Atlanta Business Chronicle

聽in Brookhaven is gearing up to open the Q. William Hammack Jr. School of Business next fall, and the search is on for its first dean.

鈥淲e are actively seeking and hope to hire a dean for the school by spring,鈥 said Lawrence M. Schall, the university鈥檚 president. 鈥淥ur plan is to grow the Hammack School of Business as a means of connecting students with the Atlanta business community in even deeper ways than they already are.鈥

K体育 currently has a business division, which offers degrees in business administration, human resources management and accounting, with specialty programs in marketing and finance. The impetus to establish a full-fledged business school came from informal discussions over the past several years between Schall and OU alumnus Q. William 鈥淏ill鈥 Hammack, Jr., class of 1973, who had recently retired as president and CEO of C. W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc.聽 聽
