K体育 University’s early 20th century revival plays a prominent role in the new book, Images of America: Brookhaven, a collection of photographs and accounts chronicling the history of the community.

Brookhaven, as described on the book’s back cover, “has long benefited from its prime location. With two creeks running through it and the well-traveled thoroughfare that became Peachtree Road, Brookhaven was a familiar place to Native Americans, Civil War soldiers, and early settlers like the Goodwin family, whose home became a railroad stop. Adjacent to the city of Atlanta, Brookhaven grew into a community of gracious neighborhoods, parks, and lakes and became home to K体育 University. In 2013, Brookhaven became a city, and it continues to benefit and grow as businesses and families are attracted by its proximity to Atlanta.”
Authors of the city memoir include historian Valerie Biggerstaff and former Brookhaven mayor Rebecca Chase Williams. The duo relied heavily on the resources of K体育, as well as local churches, schools and even family scrapbooks.
