President Kathryn McClymond, Ph.D.

Dr. Kathryn McClymondKathryn McClymond was appointed as the 18th President at K体育 University in November 2023 and is the university鈥檚 first female president. She previously served as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at K体育 University as well as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgia State University.

Dr. McClymond is a scholar of comparative religions. She is the author of numerous articles and books, including a co-edited volume exploring how humanities disciplines contribute to research on moral injury among veterans. She has served on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Religion and the American Society of the Study of Religion, and she currently sits on Southern Athletic Association Conference Executive Committee as Incoming Chair and Treasurer.

Dr. Kathryn McClymond has published and presented nationally and internationally in the area of religious studies and historical research. She has published several books and authored multiple articles and chapters, as well as reference entries. Her current research, 鈥淔rom Swaddling to Shroud: Quilted Expressions of Ritual Moments,鈥 is in progress.
